At American Ruffneck Collars, we build gear with a purpose—because when it comes to your dog, “good enough” isn’t good enough. Founded by a Navy Special Operations veteran, our mentality was forged through years of testing and breaking the “latest and greatest” gear. In the Teams, there was no room for failure—if a piece of equipment wasn’t up to the task, it was refined or thrown in the trash and replaced. We bring that same no-nonsense approach to making the toughest, most reliable dog gear on the market.
Our logo carries the name RECON, a dog who gave everything and never quit. He wasn’t just a pet—he was Family, a selfless protector, and proof of what true loyalty looks like. On May 2nd 2024, Recon gave his life protecting his owner and his canine girlfriend, Malu, from wild boars—he never hesitated, never backed down. His legacy pushes us to create gear worthy of the dogs who stand by our side, no matter what.
