Refund, Warranty & Shipping Policy

Payment

Payment is required at the time of purchase. We don’t begin production until your payment clears.

Order Cancellations

You can cancel an order within 24 hours of purchase, as long as the item hasn’t entered production, been packaged, or shipped. After 24 hours, all orders are final. For exceptions, contact us immediately at info@americanruffneckcollars.com — no promises, but we’ll hear you out.

Returns

We accept returns on standard, non-custom items within 10 days of delivery. Items must be in brand new, unused, and resellable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping.

To start a return, email us for an RMA number. Items sent back without approval may be denied or incur additional fees if they can’t be resold.

We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges on custom-made gear — this includes personalized collars, two-tone builds, and sizing done to your specs. If you're unsure about sizing or details before ordering, reach out — we’ll help.

Exchanges

Need a different size or color? Contact us — if the item is not custom, we’ll do our best to work with you.

Warranty

We offer a 1-year limited warranty on hardware defects (including screws, snaps, D-rings, buckles). If hardware fails under normal use, we’ll either send you replacement parts or rebuild the item — no charge for the repair itself.

What’s not covered:

  • Chewing, clawing, or bite damage

  • Cuts or tears to BioThane or webbing

  • Improper use or abuse

  • Natural wear and cosmetic aging

Photos of the issue may be required before a replacement is approved. Shipping costs may apply.

Shipping

Domestic orders ship via USPS First Class with tracking by default. UPS is available at checkout if preferred. All shipments are insured — if your package is lost or damaged, you must file a claim with the carrier.

We are not responsible for lost packages due to customer address errors. Please double-check your info before placing your order.

We strongly recommend shipping to a location you control (home, business, or postal box). We do not support mail forwarding or international forwarding services.

International Orders

International shipments are sent via USPS First Class International unless otherwise selected. Delivery times vary. We declare the full value of your order on customs forms as required by law.

Buyers are responsible for any and all import duties, VAT, taxes, or other fees. These charges are not included in product or shipping prices. We do not issue refunds for orders refused due to unpaid customs fees. If an order is returned to us, original shipping fees will not be refunded.

Product Disclaimer

American Ruffneck Collars is not liable for injury, damage, or loss caused by misuse or failure of any product. It’s your responsibility to use our gear appropriately and safely. Inspect regularly. No gear is indestructible — especially with strong dogs.

By purchasing, you accept that:

  • Product use is at your own risk

  • You’ve assessed the suitability of the gear for your dog

  • You release American Ruffneck Collars, its owners, partners, and affiliates from all liability
